Solidify the interior offensive line

The offensive line was ravaged with injuries this past year, but when healthy, it is actually a fairly solid unit with some nice building blocks in Jared Veldheer and Stephen Wisnieski.

The line could easily become one the best units in the league this year with a just a few simple moves. The foremost problem is the interior line where Khalif Barnes and Louis Nix constantly get bullied by opposing DTs.

The most efficient solution would be to add an elite center though free agency, move Wiz back to the left guard spot he shined in his rookie season as and draft another guard later in the draft where this class is super deep.

Most people will point to Alex Mack as the person to go after and try to sign, but the Browns likely be able to retain his services and Reggie is not to keen on over paying for players. A cheaper option that could do just as much is the Saint’s Brian De La Puentes. He controlled and and protected one of the best offensive in the NFL in the Saints and putting him in the center of the our line will add depth and elite talent at the same time.

Solidifying the offensive line and being able to protect any rookie QB that comes in will be imperative to the grow of this team and the QBs development.
