Mark Sanchez, QB

Age: 27

Reason to Avoid:

I threw in Mark Sanchez, despite still currently being on the Jets roster. Reports have suggested he could be a cap casualty in New York and released soon.

To add fuel to the fire, Brian Costello of the New York Post  reported back in January, that one un-named coach on a QB needy team stated… “We’d take Sanchez.” “He’d be the starter as soon as he walked in the door for us.”

What!?!?!?!?! A starter as soon as he walked in the door???? A sad state of affairs when Mark Sanchez is an upgrade.

Could this un-named coach be Dennis Allen? That is still to be determined, but given Oakland’s woes at QB it is an unfortunate possibility.

Sanchez even as a stop-gap QB, would be such a de-motivational blow to Raider Nation it could cause extreme backlash.

Despite Sanchez’s playoff experience, he has never proven capable enough to carry a team. Sanchez is a game manager at best, who in recent years has struggled even with that limited role.

Bottom Line….Stay far away from Mark Sanchez, the Raiders need competence at QB, not comedy.
