Al Saunders Can Coordinate Offense

Ryan went through many offensive coordinators in New York so he isn’t tied to anyone to run his offense for him. So Al Saunders, who’s already on staff with the Raiders, could be promoted to offensive coordinator while Ryan focuses on the defense. If you read my last one about Saunders, you know that he had the No. 1 offense for four straight years in the mid 2,000s and mentored Hue Jackson.

With less talent than there is on the Raiders right now, Saunders had the Raiders in the top 10 in total offense. He had running back Darren McFadden looking like a MVP candidate, Jason Campbell looking like a star quarterback and Darius Heyward-Bey had 975 yards receiving. They got off to a 4-2 start but fell of once McFadden and Campbell got hurt but the offense still finished in the top 10.

Imagine what he would do with rookie quarterback Derek Carr.
