Pat Shurmur/ Eagles OC: Former Browns Head Coach

For the curious, the picture above is that of current Eagles offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur, and yes he is my current number one head coaching candidate for the Oakland Raiders. Shurmur is hardly the “RockStar” the Raiders need at HC, but I have been sold on Shurmur after reading an article from Marcus Hayes of Philly.com.  Posted back in October of 2014, Hayes provides insight into Shurmur’s role under Chip Kelly’s high-speed offense, and is definitely worth a read.

While Shurmur is not the big name I wanted, he has the right tools and experience to help mold Derek Carr into a prolific passer. Mark Davis and the Raiders must build around Derek Carr, and finding him the right coach should be priority number one. Shurmur by the way aced his interview with the Raiders.
