Jack Del Rio/ Broncos DC: Former Jaguars Head Coach
Wow, picking a number two was really hard. This candidate list is not without flaws. Jack Del Rio comes in second, but not without recent controversy. While I was once very high on Del Rio, two commenters with some real insight have changed my mind.
Both CSN Bay Area analyst Bill Romanowski and 95.7 the Game’s John Middlekauff have raised concerns about Del Rio. Bill referenced Del Rio’s record with assistant coaches and stated he believes Denver may want Del Rio out. As for John Middlekauff he is playing it close to hand. But fellow staff writer Rory Anderson took him to task anyway.
