Oakland Raiders to Show Their Carr Off in 2015

Rod Streater, the teams best receiver last year, was lost for the season in Week 1 with a foot injury. So Carr had to carry on with James Jones as the No. 1 and he was a No. 3 receiver in his prime. From there, I thought some other receivers had some talent but they went with Andre Holmes, who wasn’t reliable.

But this year, the Raiders have a true No. 1 receiver in 2015 first-round pick Amari Cooper. He is an exceptional route runner and will get open on third down, something Raiders receivers didn’t do in 2014. They also have Michael Crabtree, who I expect to be in the slot as Streater comes back healthy to be the No. 2 guy.

Then, the Raider have 2015 third-round pick Clive Walford coming in to play tight end. Mychal Rivera is alright but Walford is faster, a better route-runner, has better hands and can block so defenses won’t know what the Raiders are doing. Murray can also catch the ball out of the backfield but we can’t forget fullback and collegiate receiver Marcel Reece and his big-play ability.

Carr is going to have a full compliment of weapons in 2015.
