The Raiders failed to address their pressing need at the edge-rusher position through free agency, and continued to pass on valuable pass rushing prospects through Day 2 of the 2015 NFL draft, but their sixth-round pick is already beginning to show signs of becoming a late-round steal.

Former University of Virginia outside linebacker Max Valles is relatively raw talent at the young age of 21, but at 6’5″, 251 pounds he could really develop into something special.

In his two years at Virginia, Valles accumulated 12 sacks, eight of which coming in his sophomore season.

Valles should receive a lot of playing time in the Raiders first preseason game Thursday, as he has quite the opportunity against the Rams poor depth within their offensive line.
