Star Running Back

Those of you that want to send me crow’s-feet, I will gladly dip them in barbecue and eat them. After proclaiming he was the Raiders’ new star last year, I flip-flopped on Latavius Murray out of concern surrounding his power and injuries. But he ran with much more authority Friday night and obviously still has that Marcus Allen type of vision.

Running a little lower past the line of scrimmage will help him break and force missed tackles in the secondary. Running up tall is only for when you are past the defense and trying to make it to the end-zone. Coming off of my prediction Trent Richardson breaking out has nothing to do with the silly non-hole that he supposedly missed.

Even in the picture that many have to make him look bad, the middle linebacker didn’t overpursue. He knew that hole was there and would have met Richardson in it if he had cut back. There are other pictures with wider views that show the outside linebacker scraping into that hole as well.

The only way that could have possibly been a touchdown is if Miles Burris was on that defense.
