Re-sign Jared Cook

Over the past two seasons, Jared Cook has been the favorite target of Derek Carr, leading the Raiders in receiving in both campaigns. That has led to him being one of the better pass-catching tight ends in the league, and heading into 2019, he will have the option to play for any team in the league that wants him.

The bottom line is, the Raiders need Cook back, as he has been quite the leader for this offense over the last two seasons. He is a guy who Carr can count on when things break down, and coming off career highs in nearly every statistical category, he is well worth taking another two-to-three year flier on.

Lee Smith, Derek Carrier, and Darren Waller all produced from the tight end position in 2018, but it is Cook who led the way, and needs to be back in the Silver and Black in 2019. He has to be a top priority when looking at the 33 Raiders entering free agency, and is one of a handful of guys from the current roster that needs to be a part of the rebuild moving forward.
