Donald Parham – Tight End, Stetson

The Raiders need offensive playmakers in the worst way especially if Jared Cook leaves in free agency. At 6’8 240lbs, Donald Parham would be an instant mismatch piece for the Oakland offense as a big slot receiver. He is agile with soft hands and covers a lot of ground once he gets the ball in his hands.

Parham is a jump ball nightmare and could help control the middle of the field with his size. Parham has a great chance to up his stock after being a late add to the Senior Bowl this week. If he can prove his ability against a massive jump in competition, teams will have no choice but to take him seriously as a prospect.

One negative with Parham beside the level of competition is that according to most draft analysts he offers nothing as an inline blocker. Which is why I referred to him as a big slot, because when lined up in the slot he could still overwhelm people with his size and length.

But inside, his lengthy frame will likely be exposed by the power at defensive end in the NFL. However, Cook never wowed anyone with his ability to block inline so I think Oakland could manage. Plus he can catch Derek Carr’s favorite routes, slants and fades.
