Oakland Raiders: Final full first-round 2019 NFL mock draft

15. Washington Redskins, D.K. Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss
Alex Smith is out for the 2019 NFL season, so the Redskins went out and got Case Keenum. Although many are uncertain of Keenum, he is still a player who can get it done in the right system. However, for him to be successful, Keenum needs a solid wide receiver.
Plug in D.K. Metcalf, the best wide receiver coming out this year, and he should be an excellent target for this Redskins offense.
16. Carolina Panthers Andraez “Greedy” Williams, CB, LSU
The Panthers have not been as great on defense over the past few years, as they were when they made it all the way to the Super Bowl. Part of that is because they’ve lost a ton of good players on that side of the ball. One being corner Josh Norman.
The Panthers secondary needs help, and they can fix that by taking LSU corner Greedy Williams.
Greedy Williams was one of the top corners last year, and his film was very impressive. College teams learned that quickly, as he was targeted 67 times in 2018, but only gave up 27 catches. Williams has the size and speed that isn’t seen in most corners. Williams is the perfect scheme fit for this Carolina defense and will be a day one starter.
17. New York Giants Clelin Ferrell, DE, Clemson
The New York Giants have a lot of draft capital, which includes two first-round picks. The trade for Odell Beckham Jr. included the No. 17 pick from the Cleveland Browns. Alternatively, another trade that happened between the Giants and Browns left the Giants without a pass rusher. They shipped Olivier Vernon to the Browns to clear cap.
With that trade, they now have a massive need at defensive end. With the No. 17 overall pick, they should add Clelin Ferrell, who is one of the best defensive ends coming out this year. Last year Ferrell had 11.5 sacks and 20 tackles for loss.
His film shows an explosive defensive end, that knows how to get to the quarterback. He will fill a significant need for the Giants and can help them build the way they were constructed during there last two Super Bowls, through their defensive line.
18. Minnesota Vikings Christian Wilkins, DT, Clemson
The Vikings defensive play slipped a little bit last year. With Sheldon Richardson signing with the Browns, the Vikings can select a defensive lineman here to replace him, Christian Wilkins. Wilkins tape speaks for itself, he is big, fast, and really physical.
He dominated that Alabama front and was one of the key players on that defense that helped win that national championship by shutting down the Crimson Tide’s offensive attack.
