The Raiders pass rush was so bad that doubling up to fix issue should no be out of the question. The team holds three first round picks, and this draft class is loaded with edge rushers, so why not double dip.

Clelin Ferrell is a different style of defensive end that wins more with his size and strength than pure burst and bend off the edge. This makes him a perfect compliment to a possible Josh Allen and even Arden Key who are speed first guys.

Ferrell had a great career at Clemson racking up 27 sacks and 50.5 tackles for loss while winning ACC Defensive Player of the Year this past season.

There are some concerns about this lateral movement skills which he was not able to answer during the draft process, but his floor as a player is very high. Ferrell’s ability to play the run while still providing quality pass rush should make him a plug and play starter for the Raiders.
