Tight End

Darren Waller, Foster Moreau, Lee Smith, Luke Willson (4)

The Raiders lost a key piece to their offense this offseason, as Jared Cook signed on with the New Orleans Saints as a free agent. Cook had led the team in receiving yards in each of the last two seasons, and Carr and company will have to find a way to replace that kind of production.

In the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the Raiders selected LSU tight end Foster Moreau, who is more of a blocking tight end at this point. However, he is a physically gifted athlete, and should be more productive in the passing game at the NFL level than he was in college.

Looking at the rest of the position group, Darren Waller has a real chance to replace Cook as the pass-catching weapon at tight end in this offense. He flashed signs that he can be a real threat in the passing game last season, and if he can stay out of trouble, he will be a target for Carr in this offense.

Luke Willson was brought in as a free agent this offseason, and Lee Smith is a leader on this team, so I expect both of them to make the roster as well.
