Cornerback (5): Gareon Conley, Isaiah Johnson, Trayvon Mullen, Daryl Worley, Nick Nelson

Over the last couple of seasons, the Raiders cornerback group has been nothing to write home about, serving as a severe weakness for the franchise. In 2017, the team utilized a first round pick on Ohio State’s Gareon Conley, who has had to battle injuries early in his NFL career, but looked like a premier cornerback towards the end of the 2019 season.

Conley will lead a group that should be much-improved in 2019, as the team went out and spent two draft picks on the position group in April. Trayvon Mullen was the team’s second round draft pick, and is fresh off winning a national title with Clemson, and Isaiah Johnson, who the team took in the fourth round, is raw, but has incredible talent.

Like Johnson, Nick Nelson was a Raiders fourth round pick, as he was taken back in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Wisconsin. He and Daryl Worley should round out this position group heading into the 2019 NFL season, with Lamarcus Joyner, who we have listed as a safety, expected to be worked in a nickel role as well.
