Antonio Brown and Tyrell Williams could join elite Oakland Raiders club

2016: Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper
The 2016 NFL season began as a special one for the Raiders, as they put together their first winning season since 2002, and seemed to be steamrolling to a deep run in the playoffs. Then, disaster struck, as Derek Carr broke his leg on Christmas Eve, and any chance the Raiders had of playing for a Super Bowl went out the window.
Also in 2016, the combination of Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree was a dynamic one at the wideout position, as they both went over 1,000 yards, led by Cooper’s 1,153. Crabtree finished his season with 1,003 yards, but was the team leader in receiving touchdowns with eight. This tandem led to Carr nearly winning an MVP award, as he threw for over 3,900 yards and 28 touchdowns against only six interceptions.
So there you have it, the only three tandems in Raiders history to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark as a pair. The tandem of Brown and Williams could prove to be a special one in 2019, and for Carr, it should lead to him being one of the more productive quarterbacks in the league. Gruden has a knack for putting players in the right position to succeed, and this passing game will be fun to watch.
