Jordan Devey

With all the turmoil the Raiders have at guard, the career backup has been pushed into a starting role. So far it has been an up and down year for Devey. Against the Broncos he allowed one pressure, then surrendered four against the Chiefs and last week pitched a shutout versus the Vikings.

The fluctuation in the offensive lineman’s play needs to level out this week because he faces a tough matchup in week four.

Along Indianapolis’ defensive line is a familiar face for Oakland, Denico Autry. The former Raider has found quite a bit of success with the Colts, in 15 games he has 11.5 sacks. Out of Autry’s 142 defensive snaps 66 of them have been on the offense’s right side, and expect that trend to continue on Sunday.

Indy is going to put their best interior pass rusher up against the weakest link of the Silver and Black’s offensive line. With Incognito back that weak-link is Devey. If quarterback Derek Carr is going to have a clean pocket to throw from, the big man will need to hold his own against Autry.
