Justin Phillips

The man taking Vontaze Burfict’s place on the Raiders roster is an undrafted free agent from Dallas, Justin Phillips. The rookie is taking on the Mike linebacker role for a struggling defensive unit which has allowed 86 points in the last three weeks.

While no one can take the veteran’s place one can only hope Phillips can help the team win. Guys like Tahir Whitehead, Nicholas Morrow, and Kyle Wilber will also have to step up in Week 5, especially against a Bears offense that will rely on the run with Mitchell Trubisky out.

Overall, this is a very winnable game for the Raiders, who could cruise into their bye week sitting at 3-2 if they can somehow pull out another victory as the underdog. Not many experts gave them a chance last Sunday, and they downright dominated the Indianapolis Colts, so expect a fired up Raiders squad to hit the field against their former Captain in Week 5.
