Team Resilience

With this 26-24 win, the Raiders have now won all five of their games by 8 points or less and are becoming the kardiac kids of the league. Derek Carr once again led a game-winning drive just like he did against the Bears and Lions, which now gives him 19 such drives for his career. He continues to put to rest his place in the Raiders’ future and is playing like a top-12 QB in the league.

There is a belief within the Oakland locker room that they can win these close contests, and that is very reminiscent of the 2016 group. However, this is even more exciting, considering how young this team is. Jon Gruden has his players completely bought in early, and it is great to see. E

ven when they make mistakes, they have short-term memories and often times redeem themselves later in the game.

Now winning all these close games does have an expiration date, so hopefully, the Raiders can get some comfortable wins against teams like the Jets and Bengals. Plus as fans, the anxiety of these close games is probably not something we would actively choose.
