Maxx Crosby has arrived

We were (almost) on the mark with Sunday’s bold predictions, but happy to be wrong if it means that Maxx Crosby exceeded expectations. Crosby bulldozed the Bengals’ offensive line all afternoon and recorded not one, not two, not three, but four total sacks.

So we were just off with our predictions, but Crosby had a breakout day nonetheless.

His domination on Sunday shouldn’t have come as a surprise, as Maxx Crosby has slowly become a force on the defensive line week in and week out. Last week, he was key in generating pressure that helped Clelin Ferrell get to the quarterback. On Sunday, Crosby took matters into his own hands, adding a forced fumble to his four registered sacks.

Kudos to Mike Mayock for finding a gem, this time in the fourth round of the 2019 draft. Each week Crosby gets better and better. Will it eventually be time to start including him in the Defensive Rookie of the Year discussion?
