Mike Mayock

When Oakland hired Mayock as their general manager, many questioned the decision to give another television personality a significant role within the organization. Fast forward about six months and the former analyst is a legitimate candidate for executive of the year.

Any questions about his pedigree or qualifications for the position are answered.

The Raiders rookie class is off to a historic start and many feel the 2019 draft could go down as one of the best in team history. Running back Josh Jacobs is a favorite for offensive rookie of the year and defensive end Maxx Crosby is starting to make his case on the other side of the ball. Those two are the highlights and the rest of the class has produced as six rookies hold starting positions.

Mayock clearly knows what he’s doing when it comes to the draft and Raider fans should feel confident with the future of the organization in his hands. Oakland will make six selections in the first four rounds this April, so this won’t be the last time the Nation will be thankful for the GM.
