Quarterback. Aggies . Jordan Love. 78. player. 875.

For the last two years, I have completely disagreed with any mock draft that has the Raiders selecting a QB in the first round. After the last few weeks and some comments that Jon Gruden has made, finding Derek Carr’s replacement is becoming a real option.

The Raiders are not to the point yet where they will take a QB in the first round, but if Jordan Love falls to the third round, the Raiders may add him to give some competition to Derek Carr in 2020. Jordan Love seems like the type of QB that Jon Gruden may be looking for. His frame and body composition are impressive, as well as his athletic ability and skills to extend plays.

Along with all of that, I believe that his arm strength is something that Gruden may be excited about. Carr has a good arm, but he does not use it, and he is afraid to throw any 50/50 balls. Love is the exact opposite of this, in fact, he sometimes throws these types of passes too often. Having both Love and Carr in camp would be great for Gruden to see what type of quarterback he actually wants.
