Jadeveon Clowney

If a team is looking for edge rusher help, there is still some elite talent out there, and one just happens to be a former No. 1 overall pick. Jadeveon Clowney was traded to the Seattle Seahawks last season from the Houston Texans, and for those teams looking to add talent on the outside, he has a pretty high price tag.

Clowney is reportedly seeking $20 million a year in a new deal, and considering he has had his injury issues in the past, it will be interesting to see which teams pull the trigger on signing him.  So far teams have not been willing to meet his demand, but as we know, things could change at any minute.

In six seasons Clowney has 32 sacks, 71 tackles for loss, and 80 quarterback hits.  Clowney may not get you 12-15 sacks a year but he is one of the better run defenders in the game.  If he does not receive the big pay he is looking for his best bet may be to sign a short term, prove it deal for less money and hit the market again in a season or two.
