Las Vegas Raiders: 10 free agent options at cornerback
5. Darqueze Dennard, Cincinnati Bengals
Darqueze Dennard was seemingly on his way to the Jacksonville Jaguars with reports that he would be signing a three-year, $13.5 million deal with $6 million guaranteed but the two parties could not agree on the final terms. The Jaguars may be one of the teams with as much of a need at cornerback as the Raiders after recently trading Jalen Ramsey and AJ Bouye.
As for Dennard, the former first round pick out of Michigan State has been hampered with injuries in his career and never lived up to the expectations that came with his draft position. He has become a decent nickel cornerback in recent years and is relatively young at 28-years-old. Dennard has played on the outside and in the slot and could compete for the outside corner position opposite Mullen.
If the Raiders agree to similar contract terms with Dennard as the Jaguars, or something close to it, then it would be a decent value for a player that may have more upside than an older target. A three-year deal would also likely come with an easy out after year two so the Raiders could bring in a solid defensive back at a discounted rate.
