There are a lot of reasons why I feel the Green Bay Packers and Raiders could work as trade partners.  Whether it’s at pick No. 12 or 19, I think the Packers are one of multiple teams that could look to move up to draft a quarterback, and there are not a ton of first round guys this year.

Aaron Rodgers is now 36 years old, and although he keeps himself in good physical shape and is still playing at a high level, the Packers organization know it’s time to start preparing for life after Rodgers. Rodgers spent time sitting and learning behind Brett Favre, and they can now replicate that situation with a new rookie quarterback.

Also, when you consider the New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints are both selecting before the Packers, and are also in need of a quarterback now or in the near future, that could apply some added pressure on Green Bay to go up and get their guy.

In this example, Jordan Love is available when the Raiders are on the clock with pick 19.  An ideal situation for both teams would be the Raiders trading their 19th overall pick, valued at 875 according to the trade value chart, to the Packers for their 30th overall pick valued at 620, and their second round pick (62nd overall) worth 284.

In this scenario, the Packers can go up and leap frog the Patriots and Saints and get their quarterback of the future.  The Raiders move down 11 spots in round one and possibly draft a cornerback like Kristian Fulton, Trevon Diggs, AJ Terrell, or Jaylon Johnson with a much better value at the end of round one.

In addition, Mayock gets his coveted second round pick.
