Defensive Tackle: Chester McGlockton (1992-1997)
Chester McGlockton‘s time with the organization may have been brief but he made a huge impact in 90 games with the franchise. McGlockton was exactly the disrupting force in the middle that the current Raiders have been longing for.
The team’s No. 16 overall pick in the 1992 NFL Draft, McGlockton was highly productive during his time with the Silver and Black. In six seasons with the team, he was a four-time Pro Bowler and was named First Team All-Pro in 1995. Of his 51 career sacks, 39.5 came with the Raiders.
Defensive Tackle: Bill Pickel (1983-1990)
Bill Pickel might not be a household name among most Raiders fans, but by the numbers, he ranks among the best to do it along the defensive line in Raiders history. In only 68 starts with the Raiders, he was able to rack up 53 sacks and 454 tackles, monstrous numbers when you consider it was less than 70 games.
From 1984-1986, Pickel had seasons of 12.5, 12.5, and 11.5 sacks, which are huge sacks numbers from your nose tackle. In 1986, Pickel’s outstanding season earned him First Team All-Pro honors, and he was a member of the 1983 Super Bowl championship team along with Howie Long and Greg Townsend.
