Stealing one player from each AFC West foe

Kansas City Chiefs: QB Patrick Mahomes

With all due respect to Derek Carr who many in Raider Nation think is a good quarterback, our rivals in red may have the best quarterback in the business in Patrick Mahomes. It’s hard to believe that Mahomes has only been in the league for three seasons and that 2019 was only his second as a full-time starter given the impact he has made so far.

Mahomes had the advantage of joining a team that already had superb offensive talent around him in Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, not to mention one of the best offensive minds in the history of the game in Andy Reid, but he has also shown that he can elevate those around him.

In two seasons as a starter Mahomes has an incredible 76 touchdowns and is already 9th all-time in Chiefs history in passing yardage thanks to his gaudy numbers.

It remains to be seen if a team that is paying Mahomes major dollars can be a Super Bowl contender but he has already turned the Chiefs from a playoffs bridesmaid to the bride in his short tenure. Derek Carr and his brothers may not like to read this but Mahomes is an upgrade over Carr in every way and unfortunately for the Raiders, they have to figure out how to stop him for the next decade.
