The Las Vegas Raiders have done a nice job building up their roster on both sides of the ball, and NFL Spinzone feels they could shatter expectations in 2020.

It is not often that the Las Vegas Raiders franchise gets love from the national media, as we have seen them run through the mud over the last 20 years. However, with added talent on both sides of the ball, and coming off a seven-win 2019 campaign, some feel they could shatter expectations this season.

Since taking over as general manager for the 2019 offseason, Mike Mayock has struck gold in the draft, and brought in some talented players via free agency. He has also stripped the roster of some terrible contracts, and while the Antonio Brown saga was a rough one, the team was able to put that in the past and be very competitive last season.

In fact, sitting at 6-4, it looked like the Raiders had navigated the tough part of their schedule and were going to make a playoff push, only to close out the season by losing five of their last six games. After shoring up their weak links, especially in the secondary, at wide receiver, and linebacker this offseason, they could be a team to beat in the AFC in 2020.

One media outlet feels the Raiders are one of five teams that could shatter expectations.
