2020 Las Vegas Raiders offense has no shortage of weapons
By Brad Weiss
The Las Vegas Raiders offense struggled to put up points in 2019, but that should not be a problem with all the added weapons this offseason.
The then-Oakland Raiders got off to a solid start to the 2019 NFL season, navigating a terrible schedule that would see them not play a home game for multiple months. When the smoke settled on the first ten games, the team was sitting at 6-4, and all of a sudden there were playoff expectations.
Well, injuries and inconsistent play led to them losing five of their last six games, and not only finishing outside of the playoffs, but also finishing with another losing record. This offseason, general manager Mike Mayock has made certain that injuries will not decimate the offense like it did last season, utilizing free agency and the draft to give the Raiders a solid collection of talent on that side of the ball.
Now, the Raiders head into the 2020 campaign with solid depth at wideout, running back, and tight end, so if someone goes down, it will be next man up. Jon Gruden has proven he is an offensive guru, and now that he has all of his chess pieces in place, looking for this Raiders offense to be a lot more explosive than it was a year ago.
For Derek Carr, there will be no shortage of weapons in 2020.
