Las Vegas Raiders: 3 offensive veterans on the bubble in 2020

Brandon Parker, Offensive Line

Brandon Parker played his college ball at North Carolina A&T, so when the then-Oakland Raiders selected him fairly early in the 2018 NFL Draft, it raised some eyebrows. The team had already selected an offensive tackle in the first round in Kolton Miller, so double-dipping at the position seemed like a reach at the time.

To move up to get Parker, the team traded away three draft picks to the Baltimore Ravens, and he was thrust into duty early on as a rookie, taking over for the injured Donald Penn. Parker was just overmatched as a rookie, allowing 8.5 sacks, and last season he played even less, starting three games opposed to 12 in Year 1.

Since being drafted in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Parker has yet to show he can play at the NFL level, and he is running out of time. Gruden has already cut one of his fellow 2018 draft picks this offseason, and based on the talent around him, Parker could be next.
