Las Vegas Raiders roster being built for long term success

The Las Vegas Raiders have a nice blend of young stars, and veterans that make up the roster in 2020. Based on the depth, and youth, this team is built for the long haul.
Mike Mayock took over as the general manager of the then-Oakland Raiders right before New Years Day 2019, and has since set the franchise up for long-term success. Inheriting five first round picks in the 2019 and 2020 NFL Draft, the stage was set for Mayock to bring in a bunch of elite, young players, and he has done just that.
When Jon Gruden arrived in 2018 for his second stint as head coach, wholesale changes needed to be made to the roster. Gruden ended up stripping the team of a lot of their stars, including wideout Amari Cooper and edge rusher Khalil Mack, two guys who were in line for a huge payday from the franchise that drafted them.
Instead of breaking the bank for those two guys, Gruden traded them away, and when Mayock arrived, he was pretty much given a blank slate to work with. He has since built the team up the right way, pulling off some incredible picks after the first round in both drafts, and his free agents signings, outside of Antonio Brown, have been solid as well.
As the team enters the 2020 season, the roster is not only built for success this Fall, but for the long haul.
