2020 Las Vegas Raiders 53-man roster projection after training camp

Linebackers (6): Cory Littleton, Nick Kwiatkoski, Raekwon McMillan, Tanner Muse, Nicholas Morrow, Javin White

After the trade for Raekwon McMillan, the Raiders suddenly have a fearsome trio of linebackers for the first time in decades, and all three bring something different to the table. Cory Littleton is one of the best coverage linebackers in the league and addresses a position of need that the Raiders have been sorely lacking.

Nick Kwiatkoski is a solid coverage backer and will wear the green dot as the leader and play caller of the defense. McMillan is a tackling machine and run-stuffer, and gives the middle of the Raiders defense a physical edge.

Tanner Muse was always a lock to make the roster even though he reportedly struggled in camp, but we can chalk that up to learning a new position in an abbreviated offseason. He will have to make his mark on special teams for the time being.

Nicholas Morrrow came in to camp as a starter but he may be a cut candidate if the team decides to go in another direction. He provides solid depth given his experience in Paul Guenther’s defense but he is undersized and a liability in coverage.

The last name on the list is perhaps the most interesting, and that is undrafted rookie free agent Javin White. The UNLV product is similar to Muse in that he is switching from safety to linebacker, but he has been one of the biggest talking points in camp.

Coaches and players alike are raving about him and the hype might lead the Raiders to keep him on the active roster so another team doesn’t poach him off the practice squad.
