AFC West Week 3 preview and predictions: Chargers get first home win of 2020

Las Vegas Raiders at New England Patriots

The Las Vegas Raiders made a serious statement on Monday night, playing host to the New Orleans Saints and dominating on both sides of the ball. Derek Carr connected with nearly every one of his weapons, including tight end Darren Waller, who looks like a top-3 player at his position in the game.

The New England Patriots, the Raiders opponent in Week 3, looked good as well in primetime, taking the Seattle Seahawks down to the wire on the road. Cam Newton has settled in nicely as the starter in New England, and is developing quite the relationship with star wideout, Julian Edelman.

Las Vegas’ defense stepped up in the second half against Drew Brees, and I like them to do the same thing against the Patriots on the road. With the win, the Raiders would move to 3-0 on the young season, with two East Coast victories in tow.

Prediction: Raiders 28, Patriots 24
