Buffalo Bills at Las Vegas Raiders: 3 things we learned in Week 4

The offense isn’t the problem but it isn’t quite the solution either

Derek Carr became the career leader in touchdowns passes in Raiders history, which is an incredible achievement.  He also has yet to throw an interception in four games this season, so why are we losing the turnover battle so badly?

Carr had a pretty good game statistically against the Bills, throwing for over 300 yards and two touchdowns and should’ve had a third. So why does it seem like the offense has been struggling so much?  Fumbles.

The Raiders seem to love to put the ball on the ground, and always and the least opportune times possible. In the fourth quarter, the Raiders had a chance to either pull closer with a field goal, or tie the game when Darren Waller fumbled the ball while fighting for extra yards.  Then again, with the Raiders down two scores, Carr steps up in the pocket and simply gets the ball poked out of his hands.

With the defense hardly creating any turnovers so far this season, the Raiders seem to need to play a perfect game on offense every time out just to have a chance to win, so they need to start taking care of the football a little better than they have these past two games.

With the Kansas City Chiefs coming up next week followed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers if the Raiders aren’t careful that early 2-0 record can drop to 2-4 in a hurry.  The defense needs to tighten things up, and Gruden needs to open things up before the season starts to really get away from this team.
