4 Las Vegas Raiders who have played surprisingly well in 2020

Nelson Agholor

After being drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the first round in 2015, Nelson Agholor was seen as a disappointment to Eagles fan due to his many drops. There’s even a viral video that went around last year about it, but since putting on the Silver and Black, that has not been the case at all.

He joined the Raiders this season because of a strong connection he has to Jon Gruden, and he has over performed mightily, becoming an explosive weapon in the Raiders passing game.  When the Raiders signed him in Free Agency this offseason, there was a lot of push back from fans due to his reputation in Philadelphia, however, he has been nothing but phenomenal so far with the Raiders.

He only has one incompletion from balls that have been thrown his way this year, and he is making big plays down the field on a weekly basis. With Henry Ruggs III ailing the past few weeks before Sunday, he emerged as the deep threat the team was missing these past couple seasons.

Agholor has multiple touchdown catches over 50 yards, and had one called back against the Buffalo Bills due to a penalty.  His performance so far in 2020 has lead to Raidesr fans asking not if, but when Mike Mayock will sign him to an extension.  What a well deserved turn of events for Agholor.
