Las Vegas Raiders X-Factors against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7

Josh Jacobs

It’s no secret that the bread and butter of the Raiders offense runs through Josh Jacobs and the offensive line. While the Raiders relied on Derek Carr’s outstanding performance in a win against the Chiefs, Josh Jacobs has proved time and time again that he can make defenses pay when given 20+ carries a game.

On top of that, we are seeing him get more involved in the passing game as he truly becomes our three down bell cow.

The Buccaneers are no slouch though when it comes to stopping the run. As I stated earlier, they have the leagues best defense in rushing YDS/G with only 64.3 and are second in the league in overall rushing yards allowed with only 386 yards through 6 weeks.

Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but if the Raiders are going to get the offense going, they are going to have to establish the run early and often with Jacobs. It’s a big shot to the offensive line with Trent Brown just recently being placed on the NFL reserve/COVID-19 list, so Denzelle Good and Sam Young are going to have to step up and fill in. If the Raiders can open up some running lanes for Jacobs, that in turn will open up the whole offense for the next two X-Factors on this list.
