Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Las Vegas Raiders: 3 things to watch in Week 7

Raiders secondary against Bucs wide receivers

Not only will the Raiders be without Damon Arnette, a starting cornerback this Sunday, but they will also be without safety Johnathan Abram, the unquestioned leader of their secondary. Abram last made contact with Trent Brown on Tuesday, ruling him out Sunday due to the fact he needs to clear the five-day protocol.

That means Jeff Heath and Erik Harris will be the starting safeties against Tampa Bay, who have some elite wide receivers in Chris Godwin and Mike Evans to name a few. This is the best group that Brady has thrown to in his entire career, so it will be interesting to see how the Raiders makeshift defensive backfield holds up in this one.

This is certainly not the starting group that Raiders fans would prefer, but this is who is available, and the team has adopted a next-man-up mantra this season. Heath played a big role in the win against Kansas City, and guys like Erik Harris, Isaiah Johnson, and Lamarcus Joyner are just going to have to step up on Sunday, helping out star cornerback Trayvon Mullen.
