Running Backs

Josh Jacobs – Sit ‘Em

Last week we told you to sit Josh Jacobs against one of the best rush defenses in the NFL and unfortunately we were right. Jacobs had just 17 yards on 10 carries and didn’t get a single first down. It was tough sledding without Trent Brown and Richie Incognito as it has been for much of the year.

Jacobs was also targeted 4 times in the air but only managed 3 catches for 14 yards and was a nonfactor there. This was by far the worst game of Jacobs’ short career and unfortunately things don’t get much better against the Browns who have the fifth ranked rush defense in the league.

The second year back has also been limited in practice this week so keep an eye on his status as we get closer to Sunday. The upside is that the wild weather may force the Raiders to pound the ball rather than air it out and he could benefit but he could also miss time with his knee injury.

Devontae Booker – Sit ‘Em

This is a potential week where Devontae Booker could make his way in to your starting lineup. If Jacobs is limited on Sunday or misses the game entirely then having Booker on your roster in a game where the Raiders may be forced to run the ball 30 times could pay off big time.

Keep an eye on Jacobs’ status as we get closer to Sunday and if you have the roster spot open then it may be worth it to add Booker just in case.

Jalen Richard – Sit ‘Em

Another week for Jalen Richard with no impact whatsoever in fantasy or real like. Richard was not targeted once in the passing game and the bulk of his carries came on the last drive of the game as the Raiders waved the white flag. He is irrelevant in fantasy and has seen his role shrink every week with Booker taking a bigger role as the Raiders’ second string back.
