AFC West Week 8 preview and predictions: Chargers/Broncos battle in Denver

Las Vegas Raiders at Cleveland Browns

Coming off a tough loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Las Vegas Raiders will look to get back over .500 on the road against the Cleveland Browns in Week 8. The Browns have gotten off to a 5-2 start to the 2020 campaign, and are fresh off a win against division rival Cincinnati.

The key here will be how the Raiders defense does against Baker Mayfield and this Browns offense, which will be without Nick Chubb and Odell Beckham Jr. in this one. The Raiders defense had a terrible showing against Tom Brady and the Bucs last Sunday, and Mayfield is certainly a player who likes to take shots downfield.

On the other hand, the Browns will have to counter a Raiders offense that has been explosive this season, with Derek Carr putting up some of his best stats of his career. The Raiders are trying to keep pace with the Chiefs in the AFC West, and they go East and win for the third time this season.

Prediction: Raiders 31, Browns 28
