The Las Vegas Raiders take on the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 9 in a game that could give a big boost to their playoff hopes

The Las Vegas Raiders kick off three straight AFC West games with a road matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 9. Usually this would be a matchup the Raiders look forward to as their ninth home game thanks to the incredible amount of Raider fans in Southern California.

There won’t be any fans in the Raiders first trip to SoFi Stadium, but it should still feel like a second home given how welcome the Chargers have been this year. The Chargers are 2-5 but are a better team than their record suggests they are. The old saying goes that you are as good as your record says you are but the Raiders should not expect LA to play like a team three games below .500.

The Chargers are competent on both sides of the ball and have a young QB in Justin Herbert that can make plays with his legs and is not afraid to take deep shots downfield. He has the confidence and fearlessness of youth and he has the receiving weapons in Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, and others to take advantage of his big arm.

This should be a tight matchup, as most divisional games are, but here are 4 reasons why the Raiders will win on Sunday and move to 5-3 on the season.
