4 Los Angeles Chargers the Las Vegas Raiders should worry about in Week 9
Melvin Ingram, OLB
Melvin Ingram will be taking the field for the first time since injuring himself in practice leading up to Week 3. Ingram, who is typically a top-rated pass rusher, looks to get back in action this week vs the Raiders who have had a rotating door on the offensive line due to injuries and COVID-19.
With Joey Bosa out this week, expect to see Chargers defensive coordinator Gus Bradley dial up different looks for Ingram to make an impact defensively, especially against a banged up Raiders offensive line. The Raiders starting right tackle, Trent Brown, will miss this week after being placed back on the COVID-19 list after experiencing complications from contracting the virus during the bye week.
With Brown out, and backup Sam Young’s status uncertain, the Raiders may look to Brandon Parker to start the game. Parker played well last Sunday against the Browns and if he takes the field Sunday, it is hoped that he continues to play well to limit Ingram’s pressures.
