2021 NFL Mock Draft: Las Vegas Raiders continue to bolster defense
As well as the Miami Dolphins offense has played recently, rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa lacks a ton of wide receiver help outside of Devante Parker. Pairing Tua with speedy receiver Rondale Moore could create one of the most dangerous young duos in the league, and would improve Tua’s game a ton.
The Jacksonville Jaguars have not had a productive tight end in a long time, and with a group of promising young receivers, the team could add on to the group with the best tight end in the class. Justin Fields will have plenty of weapons when he comes into the league, and in Florida’s Kyle Pitts, he gets the kind of pass-catching tight end every young quarterback needs.
The Las Vegas Raiders could go one of two directions with this pick; pairing another first round safety with Johnathan Abram, or getting an edge rusher to add to an already young defensive line. Although the pass rush has not been getting enough pressure, the biggest weakness on the team has likely been Erik Harris, and the Raiders are able to replace him with the best safety in the class.
The Tennessee Titans were the team to make the move for Jadeveon Clowney in the off season, but he has not been able to produce enough to be brought back next year. The Titans need to address their pass rush, and Rashad Weaver is the player to do just that, finding a diamond in the rough at pick No. 24.
