Recapping AFC West 2020 Week 12: Kansas City moves to 9-1
Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos dominated on both sides of the ball to earn their fourth victory of the year. The Miami Dolphins were hot ever since starting their first round rookie Tua Tagovailoa , but ran into a buzz saw yesterday, as Tua was benched. His replacement, Ryan Fitzpatrick threw a pick to end the game trying to mount a comeback down 13-20.
Drew Lock played much better than he did last week against the Raiders, throwing only one interception, but it was their running game that carried them in this one as both Melvin Gordon and Phillip Lindsay both went over 80 Yards rushing with Gordon scoring twice. The other story of this game was the play of the Broncos defensive line they totaled six sacks led by defensive tackle DeShawn Williams who had two of them himself.
This was a huge win for the Broncos, who are trying to avoid finishing the season in the cellar. They have to find what they have in Lock, whether or not they will be drafting a quarterback in the first round next season, or if he is the guy for the franchise moving forward. He helped his case Sunday.
