Las Vegas Raiders at Atlanta Falcons: 3 Players to watch in Week 12

Damon Arnette

For some reason, Damon Arnette caught a lot of flak on Twitter after the game on Sunday night, and I don’t understand why.  He competed really hard matched up against Travis Kelce most of the time, broke up a pass down the field against Tyreek Hill, and he plays with a swagger and toughness the Raiders have been lacking for a while.

Too many people want to write off young players early in their career.  However, Arnette is only a rookie, who has missed multiple games due to further injuring a hand while he was playing with it while it was already broken. Once considered a strange pick in the first round, Arnette looks like a legitimate NFL corner and has teamed well with Trayvon Mullen.

The Raiders’ outside cornerback situation is solved with him and Mullen on the other side.  The more reps he gets in-game action, especially against solid players like the Raiders will face on Sunday, the better he is going to get, and based on age and talent, the Silver and Black could be set at cornerback for the foreseeable future.
