Raiders must make the playoffs next season

The Las Vegas Raiders will miss the playoffs once again in 2020, and for a team that has started out so well in both 2019, and 2020, it is getting extremely frustrating. The Silver and Black have a storied history in the NFL, but they have been to the playoffs only once since the 2002 NFL season, and have now posted an 18-29 record since Jon Gruden returned to the sidelines.

Anything outside of the playoffs is not an option next season, as the organization has had multiple first-round picks, and have revamped the roster nearly entirely since Gruden came back. There are a lot of decisions to make in terms of the roster next season, as plenty of guys are entering free agency, and a lot of money should come off the books.

Las Vegas will likely have fans in the stands in 2021, and Raider Nation should turn Allegiant Stadium into a legitimate home-field advantage. That place is going to be rocking each week and should lead to more victories than they had there in 2020 for sure.

The Raiders mantra has long been “Just Win Baby,” but with only one winning season since 2002, wins have been few and far between. They are in a much better place than they were when Gruden took over in 2018, and the hope is that with one more solid offseason, the playoffs are a legitimate destination next season.
