The Las Vegas Raiders hold one selection in the 2021 NFL Draft, and here are the three position groups they need to target.

The Las Vegas Raiders have several glaring deficiencies now that the 2021 off-season has arrived for them, so what should they do in the first round of April’s NFL draft?

Raiders brass, including general manager Mike Mayock and head coach Jon Gruden, will have some difficult decisions ahead. They have to restructure parts of their roster to make themselves more financially viable this off-season, and there’s plenty of cuts they can do to save themselves some cap space, especially ‘one and done’ players, so there’s that.

Plenty of players didn’t live up to their expectations, most notably on defense. That’s something we’ll have to monitor these coming weeks, and as far as April’s draft, the Raiders can certainly fix some of their deficiencies.

All throughout their roster, the Raiders could use a boost, however, it shouldn’t shock anyone that defense will be the priority. While a permanent defensive coordinator has yet to be named, the unit will need a talent infusion. Luckily, there will be a bevy of talent available that the Silver and Black will be able to choose from in April.

In particular, let’s now take a look at which position groups that management should prioritize, most notably in the first round.
