The then-Oakland Raiders made Hunter Renfrow a fifth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, selecting the diminutive wide receiver out of Clemson. During his time with the Tigers, Renfrow became an absolute star for head coach Dabo Swinney and even caught the game-winning touchdown against the Alabama Crimson Tide in the national title game.

A walk-on for Clemson, Renfrow earned legendary status with his touchdown grab with one second left against the Tide and came back the next season to haul in 49 receptions for over 500 yards. He entered the 2019 NFL Draft with very little fanfare, but Mike Mayock saw something in him, and the Raiders fan base has to be happy he did.

Raiders landed Renfrow in the fifth round in 2019

Mayock selected Renfrow in the fifth round back in 2019, as he joined teammates Clelin Ferrell and Trayvon Mullen in that draft class. Of course, Ferrell was the No. 4 overall pick, and Mullen was selected in the second round, so it was a while before Mayock took a chance on Renfrow with the No. 149 overall pick that year.

While not the biggest name on the depth chart heading into his rookie season, Renfrow made his presence felt, and is now a huge cog in the Raiders offense.
