It has already been a crazy week for the Las Vegas Raiders, as they have released Gabe Jackson, and still have yet to decide what to do with Trent Brown. General manager Mike Mayock came out and was very strong in terms of his feelings towards quarterback Derek Carr, and it looks like he will be the team’s starting quarterback for the eighth straight year in 2021.

Looking ahead to the 2021 season, a lot of changes are coming, as the Raiders are in salary cap hell, and need to free up some money. That means a lot of players will be shown the door, and that is going to be the case all over the NFL.

With that said, let us take a look at three guys who should be on the roster in Week 1, and who are poised for bounce-back seasons.

Raiders poised to bounce back in 2021: Richie Incognito

Richie Incognito came out of nowhere to be an elite offensive guard for the Raiders in 2019, as the franchise took a chance on him, and certainly rewarded them for their faith in him. Unfortunately, Incognito was injured early in the 2020 campaign and heading into this offseason, many felt he could be a cut candidate.

Well, the Raiders did cut a guard, but it was not Incognito, as Gabe Jackson was given his walking papers on Wednesday. Now healthy, Incognito is poised for a bounce-back season in 2021, and he better be up for the challenge, as this is going to be an offensive line that has a brand new look on the other side of Rodney Hudson this Fall.
