The Las Vegas Raiders will go into the 2021 NFL Draft with only one first-round pick, a big change from the last two drafts, where they held five first-rounders combined. Of those five, the Raiders have really only yielded consistent results from Josh Jacobs, who should have been the Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2019, and made his first Pro Bowl in 2020.

During the 2020 NFL Draft, the Raiders selected Jacobs’ former teammate Henry Ruggs III with their first of two first-round picks, expecting the speedy wideout to come in and be the team’s WR1. Instead, Ruggs looked like a rookie most weeks, and while the potential is there, the jury is still out on him.

In 2021, the Raiders hold the No. 17 overall pick, this after finishing the 2020 campaign at 8-8, and once again missing out on the playoffs. For the Raiders, they could go several different routes with the pick, but one angle I have yet to see is them not only go after a wide receiver but once again a wide receiver from Alabama.
