Las Vegas Raiders: AFC East 2021 free agents to ‘steal’

Elandon Roberts, OLB, Miami Dolphins

Last offseason, the Raiders invested heavily in the linebacker position via free agency, bringing a big-name talent in Cory Littleton, and a solid inside guy in Nick Kwiatkoski. While Kwiatkoski had himself a solid season when healthy, Littleton struggled mightily, and the hope is that a new defensive coordinator can turn things around for him in Las Vegas.

Still, this is a position group that needs depth, as we do not know what we are going to get from Tanner Muse next season, and Nicholas Morrow is entering free agency. If they decide to go out and get another linebacker in free agency, one player to keep an eye on is Elandon Roberts, who played in 13 games last season, making 11 starts, while racking up 61 tackles.

Roberts suffered a knee injury at the end of the season, and that is something to keep an eye on, but this is a veteran guy who could be gotten on the cheap this offseason. In a pandemic salary cap year, these are the guys the Raiders need to find to round out their roster, and he showed that when healthy, he can be a legitimate linebacker in this league.
