2021 NFL Draft: 3 players the Las Vegas Raiders should trade up for
Rashawn Slater, OT, Northwestern
This pick is wishful thinking and has an extremely small chance of happening, as Rashawn Slater is viewed as the second-best offensive lineman in the draft behind Penei Sewell. Slater is another player that could be selected in the top ten, but there are so many teams that need QBs, and so many talented skill players that I could see Slater slipping past pick 14 or 15, especially if the Bengals do not select Sewell at pick #5.
The Raiders would have to give up a bit more to move up to get Slater if he falls, as a ton of teams will be attempting to make the move, but if there is a chance to get arguably the best tackle in the class to fill in the hole at RT, the Raiders should consider doing so. There are teams in front of them who desperately need help along the offensive line too, so jumping to get him is going to be tough.
No matter what happens, the Raiders have to replace Trent Brown, as it is one of the bigger holes on the roster, and the only big one on offense. They have a better shot at getting Teven Jenkins or even Christian Darrisaw at pick No. 17, but Slater is no doubt the No. 2 OT in this class, and would look excellent in the Silver and Black.
